Let's try a different approach and try to find out where slimserver is
looking for mplayer.

>From the Slimserver web page
1. open Server Settings.
2. Select debugging from the drop down menu at the top
3. Open a debug log window by clicking on the hyperlinked word here at
then end of this text at the top of the debugging pane.

Code:
--------------------

You can view the most recent log entries *here*.

--------------------

4. Check the box *d_paths* and click the *change* button.
5. Got to drop down box at the top and change from debugging to File
types.
6. messages should appear in the debug window. Look at the messsage,
scroll back and see can you spot messages like the following except
that it will have Windows paths.

Code:
--------------------

  2007-02-22 12:37:45.3389 Checking for mplayer.sh in /usr/local/bin/mplayer.sh
  2007-02-22 12:37:45.3393 Checking for mplayer.sh in /usr/bin/mplayer.sh
  2007-02-22 12:37:45.3397 Checking for mplayer.sh in /usr/X11R6/bin/mplayer.sh

--------------------

Copy all the messages which have "Check for mplayer" and any other
that seem relevant and post them in a reply.
