OK, as we suspected the issue is related to Telnet. It is not an issue with authentication, so we do not need to test without server password. The issue is that your client is not receiving any Telnet message from the server. Squeezelite-X needs to be able to communicate with the server on port 9090. Check your NAS firewall settings, and allow port 9090.
