Opening the debug log doesn't normally affect the PC as you described.
Everything looks OK except the error message I was looking for would
have been after all the "Buffering... 0 / 20480" messages.

If ZoneAlarm is the problem - disabling it will cure the problem,
ZoneAlarm would need to be uninstalled. So at the moment nothing
conclusive.

Since doing the log is a bit traumatic, you can try the following on
the assumption they are the most likely solution.

A. Change the Radio Timeout value from 5 to 30 - this is on the Server
Setting/Network page. After changing it test for a BBC station.

B. If changing the network timeout doesn't fix the problem, then you
could try a different version of socketwrapper used to overcome a
similar problem with other security s/w.

The new version of socketwrapper can be found here.
http://homepage.eircom.net/~altondsl...2_20060220.zip

1. Download the new socketwrapper into a temporary area and unzip it
2. Make a backup of your existing socketwrapper.exe found in the
Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread in case you need to revert.
3. replace the current socketwrapper.exe by the new one in the
download area.
4. No need to restart Slimserver just make sure all AlienBBC station
are stopped.
5. Try a BBC station
