Hello again, This is hopefully the last time. I changed the socketwrapper, powered down the complete system and booted up again. Fantastic, it worked, which means you were right in your assumption regarding the socketwrapper. Zonealarm put up it's usual warning as it started to play and lo and behold music to my ears. Thank you very much for your efforts, I have been playing around with things on this computer I would not normally touch. Thank you for your patience and help.
