I think you are saying that when you run SLX 2.4.28 (Legacy installer), Run in Background Off (please confirm this), that when you close the app, you see the splash screen "Squeezelite-X is Closing...", SLX closes, but squeezelite-win.exe is left running? Assuming you can reproduce this at will, if you are willing, you can enable log output to a file to capture the shutdown logging. In Settings press Ctrl-Shift-D, which will show some debug controls. Enable Log to File and Enable Debug level. This will create a log file on your desktop call SlxLog.txt. Then lets take a look at the log and see why it did not terminate squeezelite. Thanks.
