Hm, another case of "if all else fails RTFM"...;) I decided to scratch everything on my test machine and did a clean install with the container in 'host' mode. I also left out all port mappings since in 'host' mode these are disregarded anyway. Had no problems with the plugin... I noticed on the docker hub that the majority of LMS images use the default 'bridge' setting... I'll write a note to the provider of the docker image that I use that he should change his image to use 'host' mode.
