We seem to be stuck fetching metadata for the last track we just played,
It's not "stuck". It's just some UI polling for track information.
When the Spotify stream stalls, I simply hit the "Next Track" button in the skin, and we are back to playing again. Regardless of the source of the problem, could LMS could detect this condition, and continue on to the next track automatically if there is one, to recover?
I asked about Connect because this is kind of a known issue there. But in regular playback it shouldn't be that common. What kind of player are you using? You wouldn't be using some Squeezelite with a huge buffer, would you?
