Thank you Philippe for your reply. I think your last sentence about the
Muso DSP processing the stream differently is the only plausible
explanation. Reading though the Naim forum, I see that many owners of
higher priced Naim streamers comment often on changes to the sound after
applying software release from Naim. So it's very likely that this is a
DSP / software related difference I am hearing. 

Thanks also Philippe for all your work on these plugins, they play a key
role in making my music streaming experience so enjoyable.
