I didn't realise that about m4a files. I analyse mine on a Windows 10 laptop with a local USB hard drive and then sync that drive to another USB drive plugged into a Pi4. Sure enough the m4a files have MusicIP fingerprints but they don't have the "Create MusicIP mix" menu item. Luckily I don't have many and none of them are music. I seem to remember reading somewhere on the forum that gapless playback was not guaranteed for AAC files so steered away from them.
