In the past I've repeatedly been asked whether it was possible to get access to the Spotify's Mixtapes and other editorial content from the start page. Unfortunately these items are not available through Spotify's official API. But they're available from https://open.spotify.com. Which made me wonder whether that could be leveraged...
Short answer: sure. Longer answer: those items on Spotify's web site use some API of theirs, which serves nice, structured data. I can easily get it from Spotty and present a Home menu item with "Your Top Podcasts", "Your Favourite Albums and Songs", Mixtapes etc. Unfortunately it uses some other kind of token than what we can get for the official API. In order to get such a token you'd have to poke in your browser to extract a cookie... would you be willing and able to do so to get access to those additional menus from within Spotty/LMS?
