I think one question be ... how often does the token change? If it is set once on login and remains for “life” then great. If it expires once a week and would require fetching again then I think it would need a helper application to automate it otherwise people (me at least) would not use it.
It's my understanding that the cookie is kind of a "refresh token", which can be used to get new access tokens. The latter is valid for 1h. I've been using my refresh token for a few days now. No idea how old it'll get :-). But let's assume that you'd need to do this once and be good thereafter.
