That message means the AlienBBC plugins hasn't been installed properly or slimserver hasn't been restarted after a good installation.
Also make sure you have downloaded the correct AlienBBC for the version of Slimserver. One of the AlienBBC webpages has a misleading link for AlienBBC. Do you have a AlienBBC menu item on the main web page ?
