Well I'm enormously interested, so long as it fills the requirements below.
For information and user story gathering, my setup is as so: My MythTV backend is also my Slimserver (albeit inside a separate VM) and is located in my study. All the noisy heavy lifting goes on there. In my living room I have a diskless Epia box connected to the TV which is a MythTV frontend (using MiniMyth). I do not own a Squeezebox. I have to make do with playing music in my front room with MythMusic right now. I don't have interest in buying a Squeezebox and separate speakers, the TV is perfectly good enough for my requirements. In the kitchen I occasionally connect my Nokia 770 or laptop to the only other stereo in the house to browse and playback from the slimserer. I may one day buy a squeezebox here, but would prefer some embedded linux touchscreen solution. The MythTV plugin is unlikely to be relevant here, although note that solutions like Linux MCE combine Myth and SlimServer and have stories about different sorts of 'media directors' and controllers. Requirements of a MythTV plugin for me would be: * Browse by artist, album, new music viewing the artwork * Playlists * Trackstat * It must playback! I have little use for it as a remote control (although could run mpd on the frontend I guess, connected to the stream.mp3... how possible is it to have a daemon playing the music?) Internet radio is less important to me as this is already possible with MythStream. -- Smiley Dan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Smiley Dan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5456 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35306 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
