I was thinking that I could create some other custom browse menus and publish them for the community, but don't really know how to get started (how to make them in a format that would be useful for others too). One other idea for browsing was for my collection of live albums. I would like to catalog them with performance dates and venue, and then be able to browse them sorted by date or venue. I have embedded concert dates and venues into the album name and/or comment fields in the past, but I'm thinking it would be better to put these pieces of info into new tags and use custom scan to detect them. I can then have a library for live concerts that I could browse by concert date/album, concert date/artist, venue, album/concert date, venue/artist, etc. I know there's a TDAT ID3v2.3.0 tag, but I don't know the format and if Slimserver detects this (maybe it gets the year from it if the TYER frame doesn't exist?). I don't know about a venue tag, but thought maybe TIT3, which the standard says "The 'Subtitle/Description refinement' frame is used for information directly related to the contents title (e.g. "Op. 16" or "Performed live at Wembley").".
