So, this is what I concluded. The Spotty playlist organization (incl. sub-folders and sorting order) syncs with the Spotify desktop app, but has no connection to the playlist sorting in the Spotify mobile app. The desktop app doesn't have to be installed on the same computer that is running LMS (this is the case for me). I also learned that there exists no automatic alphabetical playlist sorting in the Spotify desktop app (like there is in their mobile app).
