Homekit/Homebridge (Hoobs is Homebridge) is totally different to Home Assistant. There is much to learn at the beginning and it is really great for controlling totally different smart things with one software. I don't know if any smart device can be controlled to Home Assistant but nearly all. Even Wifi Homekit devices can be included. It is not something that will work directly after installing. I am controlling (volume, next song, last song, pause) eg. LMS with an IKEA Sonos controller via ZigBee. When my harmony hub remote switches on the action music, it switches my stereo with Infrared and Home Assistant switches on the plug for piCorePlayer with a 7" display. Then I can control LMS with the IKEA remote or with the Harmony hub remote or with the 7" display. It is all running automatically, normally I don't have to switch something in the Home Assistant app. pi4 4gb picoreplayer with lms and squeezelite for usb inside an argon one case pi3b+ (7\" display, hifiberry dac+ pro) picoreplayer with squeezlite/jivelite for hifiberry and bluetooth headphone inside a smartipi touch case two airport express ikea symfonisk ------------------------------------------------------------------------ carsten_h's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113721 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
