So could the daemon not simply try to reestablish the connection instead of restarting itself? This would cause a slight delay before the music starts but not break everything like a daemon restart.
I'm a bit behind the library I'm using for the interaction with Spotify. I'm not saying that catching up with them will fix this issue, but I'll certainly try to catch up with librespot development.
