I think there are two issues: 1. Songs with no album are still put on a "No Album" album, but are now also be considered part of a compilation. This may depend on the folders that the songs are physically stored in? I'm not so bothered about this change in functionality, as a "No Album" entry still appears for each artist - the Various Artists/No Album is extra, listing all singles. It may be possible to add COMPILATION=0 to the files to prevent it also (I haven't tried this).
2. Problems occur when performing a "Look for new or changed music" scan. I'm seeing various issues, including: a) existing songs within the "No Album" name are no longer listed (the songs can be found, and are reported to belong to an album called ""). b) if songs with no album have been changed, they are added to a new "No Album" album entry. Several rescans cause several "No Album" entries to be listed containing only the new/changed songs from that rescan. I think I should raise (2) as a bug. I haven't scoured bugzilla yet; I believe I have seen this in the past (about a year ago) - I may have raised a bug then, but I think it was fixed.
