Yes, you should be able to copy moo files around. I've started sharing a central one at home now and have a few moose's using it, although there are issues when it gets updated. When Slimserver rescans or adds stuff to its database, all its IDs can change, so Moose has to do a total rescan to be safe. Moose checks when slimserver last changed the database and suggests you rescan if it was later than its own last rescan. You should only get this warning if Slimserver's done something with its database though. I keep meaning to improve the thumbnail re-caching a bit.. Currently it re-fetches and replaces lots of perfectly happy thumbnails.. This should help speed rescans up quite a bit hopefully.. > 3) Do we still need to vote for bug 4595 (to browse folder...)
