Well, I worked out what was wrong with my setup. I could play AlienBBC, but not Last.fm or Live365. The problem was that my computer was connected directly to the internet, wirelessly to a router (not connected to the internet) then on to the squeezebox. The problem was that the squeezebox couldn't access the internet directly (squeezenetwork didn't work either). I'd mainly been playing mp3s from the computer, so it hadn't been much of a problem, as the squeezebox was able to pick these up fine. Not sure why AlienBBC worked.., but anyway, problem solved!
