That's fine. I understand your points, and am happy with them.

I have now done more experimenting, and I can see in slimserver.pref
that settings made on the player do get changed. I think that in an
earlier version )either of the plugin or SlimServer) this change was
indicated on the SB by the selected item having a mark against it. As
far as I can see this does not occur in 1.17. Awkward, but acceptable
now that I know where to check how things were set with the player.

I'm still fairly sure, though, that the behaviour is not as you say it
is, and not what would be wanted. I'll check further to see if I can
confirm this. On a rough check, the plugin is responding to the Web
choices, not the player choices, and not responding at all to the Power
Off choice. More on this later.
