I presume the AlienBBC installation is part of the Progressive installation - in which case youyr problem is unlikely to be installation.
The "no programmes" message is usually associated with network problem or more recently the BBC server problems. Sometimes BBC servers get heavily loaded (e.g. Sun AM for Archers omnibus) and it takes longer to connect. Check your network Radio timeout under Server Setting/network - I think it is good to set it to 30 or 40 secs. When you go into AlienBBC menus - can you see the "Listen Again" program list for BBC7 ?
