It's all command line. If you consider that too complicated, this
solution is probably not for you. Good luck finding another way to use
an Android device without Play Store access as a player! (Amazon apps
might be an option.)
But in case you decide to try it, F-Droid has exactly one app named
"Termux". There are seven other apps named "Termux:" followed by some
other word; these add extra features to the base Termux package, but
they are not needed to use Squeezelite. So all you need to install is
"Termux". Once its running, use its command line to run the following
command:
Code:
--------------------
pkg install squeezelite
--------------------
Once that's done, I use this command (again, at the Termux command line)
to start Squeezelite:
Code:
--------------------
squeezelite -s <LMS IP> -n Termux
--------------------
The device shows up as "Termux" in the list of players on LMS.
Usually running latest beta LMS nightly on Raspberry Pi OS with virtual
players (Squeezelite and Airplay bridge). Occasionally using SB Radio,
Boom or Classic.
