Been busy for a few days, but looked up the info you required Slimserver 192.168.0.2 (on XP laptop) Phone 192.168.0.3 (checked and is connected to network) Squeezebox 192.168.0.5
All connected through Netgear DG834G I changed the IP address in settings from 192.168.03 to 192.168.0.2 and it seems to now get pst the 12% stage and says things like loading playlists etc. But when the program opens it still won't act as a remote.
