Checked on slimserver setting pages that CLI is ticked & it is. Do you mean something else by D_CLI that you wrote in your last reply?
Looking on Slimserver settings all the plugin boxes seem to be ticked so hopefully it should be ok. The interface still does not respond to any button pushes apart from if you prod what I guess is the volume control (small green box with G in it) the display reads is powered off, but looking at squeezebox all the lights are on.
