I'm not sure sure where the custom files should go in OSX but put a copy in the Plugin folder as it was intended that each plugin should have their own custom-convert.conf and custon-type.conf file. Then restart and check for RTSP entries in Server Setting/Filetypes.
I chose the health Plugin because I thought it would be present - obviously not for OSX.
