Yes, I think I did a quick modification of the instructions when 6.5
came out, and did not make the change clear enough.

I had definitely not thought of the issue of merging contents of two
different such files.

As I recall, for 6.2/6.3 there were custom-convert.conf and
custom.types.conf files *outside* the main Alien folder, and so these
files had to go in the main SlimDevices folder, not in the Plugins
subfolder.

For 6.5, these two files still exist but are inside the Alien folder,
and so do not need anything special done to them, one only has to put
the Alien folder into the Plugins folder.

I think the needed change in the instructions is that, where I
originally said

"the custom-types.conf and slimserver-convert.conf files, if they exist
(which they do for the 6.2 and 6.3 version of AlienBBC, but not for the
6.5 version) simply go into the SlimDevices folder"

it should read

"the custom-types.conf and slimserver-convert.conf files, if they exist
outside the Alien folder (which they do for the 6.2 and 6.3 version of
AlienBBC, but not for the 6.5 version) simply go into the SlimDevices
folder"

I'm not sure if I got the name wrong (slimserver-convert.conf as
against custom-convert.conf) or if there was a change of name.

I think the instructions do also need updating about where to get
mplayer. There has been a thread about mplayer for 10.3.x, which seems
to need a different version from 10.4.x, and also I am not sure if
there are separate versions for Intel and PPC Macs on 10.4.x.
