As I said before, we have described the shortcut to get into the scanner plugin 
from the Now Playing screen (only from that screen - other screens probably 
shouldn't redefine the play.hold action).  So, if you jump in from that screen, 
surely that would be where you expect to return to, so the Now Playing button 
can be used to go there.

Are you saying that in your normal listening environment, you want to play a 
single track, go to the Now Playing screen, scan to the end part of the track, 
and then go to browse another track to play?  Why don't you queue up what you 
want to play (eg. play the whole album), and then pick the song you want to 
play from the Now Playing playlist screen?

It sounds like in your world you never want to see the Now Playing screen.  You 
stay in the browse screens, and only play individual tracks (or part of them).
