so, how about a function to get into the scanner, and a function to "jump back"? I don't mind editing the plugin (although at this point, it will be for 7.0 version) Now, this is a bit of a compromise, as you will still have to use a button to get out of the scanner mode. The original use of the plugin was for finding a specific point in a song, allowing you multiple moves since you were basically 'stuck' in that mode until you browse away. I don't want to assume completion, although there is one open bug report (rather hard to find one at that) that suggests using the scanner plugin as a replacement for FWD/REW. However, nothing came of it thus far. One possible option is that if I can think of a way to detect how you got into the plugin, then I can change how you leave. For example, if you navigate there then it stays. If you jumped using a button, then it doesn't. Probably the easiest way is to create specific functions, rather than using the menu_PLUGIN.
