After installing and deinstalling a couple of times and restarting Slimserver etc., it finally recognized the plugin and all seemed to be well.
Unfortunately, shortly after getting everything up and running with the SlimDevices remote turning on the amp and controlling the volume, the integrated amplifier stopped taking IR signals and will no longer respond to any remote (even its original remote) ... The IR Blaster and emitter were working fine and the squeezebox remote was turning on the amp and then moving the volume up and down then all of a sudden it just stopped working. I disconnected the emitter and tried the amps original remote but it just isn't working anymore.
