Hey Rantech I am really sorry to hear about all this trouble and I apologize if it was IRBlaster that damaged it. I personally don't think IRBlaster (or any other ir emitter) has the 'power' to destroy an ir receiver, but I understand if you are cautious next time.
During development of IRBlaster I tried with almost every device that has an ir receiver that crossed my path for testing and I never had the case that a device stopped responding to either IRBlaster or its original remote permanently. BTW: Did you use learned ir commands or did you find a prepared .conf file on lirc website for your amp? I'd be interested at looking at it. Felix -- fcm4711 Everyone said: This cannot be done. But one day someone came along who didn't know about this - and did it.
