The amplifier has power and all the hard buttons and controls work, it just no longer responds to either the IR emitter nor the original remote control. I did try new batteries in the original remote but it made no difference.
I tried powering down and unplugging for awhile and then hooking up again but this didn't make any difference. I even opened up the unit to look for obvious loose connections but there was nothing to be found.
