Which operating system (and version) are you running SlimServer on ?

>From your description is sounds like you have done everything correct,
besides the paths to the parameters:
- BROWSE CONFIGURATION DIRECTORY
- BROWSE TEMPLATES DIRECTORY
- CONTEXT TEMPLATES DIRECTORY

As I mentioned earlier today, these should point to empty directories,
not to the directories in the "Plugins" directory below the SlimServer
installation directory.

It is also important that the user which is running the slimserver
process has write access to these directory since the plugin will use
them to store your configuration changes. Maybe this is the problem ?
On a debian/ubuntu based installation I think slimserver will be
executed by a user called "slimserver", so it's a good idea to let this
user own the directories which the above mentioned parameters point to.
