Well, I downloaded mplayer OS X 1.0rc1 from www.mplayerhq.hu and followed the instructions on these forums to install it, ie install then open package contents and navigate to Resources > External Binaries and copied across the mplayer_ppc file into my usr/bin folder renaming it mplayer and replacing the older mplayer. No luck at all, SB tries to connect to Radio 1 and 2 but then nothing happens the display just shows the station id.
I tried both the mplayer_ppc from the universal and OSX packages and neither worked. Ended up replacing with the older mplayer. All BBC live and listen again stations sound disjointed and distorted with broken sound and stutter. BBC 7 is the exception. All other non BBC stations, ie Virgin, Capitol, ABC Sydney sound great. A quick listen via realplayer on the mac in the browser isn't a problem, works fine.
