I am in the same boat really, SSODS 3.0 beta 4 and SqueezeCenter 7.0.16504 installed, but no spin down of disks.
I don't know if the problem is the squeezebox? Because even when the SB is the only device switched on on my network the LAN light on the Synology rattles away every few seconds. Is it the SB talking back the Squeezecenter install all the time?
