When I start ss as a daemon and select the zzz.ra file it plays however if I play another file (eg. a .flac file) that works but if I subsequently try to play zzz.ra it causes the same error as reported earlier. All a bit strange, unless you/anyone has any good ideas it looks like I may have to wait for SC7. Thanks for your suggestions so far.
