Certainly very intested in this - I think that the POC was a complete
success from that point of view... :)

Yes, sorting options would be needed. I prefer artist/album, myself.

I, for one, probably wouldn't take the time to find all of the artists
pictures to use. A VERY interesting idea, though. I could see that
some would like it. Genre would be another one that pictures could be
used to scroll through, but again, coming up with the artwork would be
a challenge. I wouldn't mind the ability to optionally attach a
picture to those, or playlists for that matter, though.

For now playing I was thinking that the same UI method could be used.
The album art flowing in/out with the current song's album in the
center would be nice. The song title underneath the artwork. The
current song would have to have some sort of highlight, though so you
would know when you were "back".

Another look would be the tiled approach - a big grid of album art that
you can move up/down/left/right through. Kind of boring, but maybe
quicker???

I keep wanting to grab an album with the mouse and drag it left/right
to scroll through the list. Is that possible? It seems more natural
than the scroll wheel method.

The ability to "add" to the end or next of the current playlist would
be essential in a party-type situation. Everyone wants to scroll
around a pick something, etc. For this reason I'd love the ability to
"lock out" the current "clear playlist and play this song/album"
feature. It seems that everyone hits the play button at least once
when using any of the other interfaces (web, SB3 remote, new
controller) and wiping out everyone's previous selections is both
common and unwelcome. Basically a "jukebox mode".

Any thoughts on deployment platform choices? I'd think that I would
potentially setup one of those "quiet" boxes to put on the rack by the
AVR/TV, etc. I could see it being easily combined with something like
MythTV, etc. (even though I use Tivo) so any thoughts on a non-Windows
version (I think that MythTV, etc. is linux based)? Also, for this I'd
like to have as little mgt. as possible so an install-n-forget linux
vesion might be very popular (and cheaper since it saves the cost of a
Windows license).

Are you done yet??? :)
