I've been trying to get SqueezeCenter working with slimnas, and this is
what I've worked out so far...
The slimnas functions.in refers to
{$config['slimserver']['rootfolder']}/squeezecenter/slimserver.pl but
there is nothing in the squeezecenter directory, so i removed the
directory and made a symlink to the current squeezecenter install dir.
Then I tried running the command via the console:

> /usr/local/bin/perl /mnt/CF2/slimnas/squeezecenter/slimserver.pl
> --user=www --prefsdir=/mnt/CF2/slimnas/etc/squeezecenter
> --logfile=/mnt/CF2/slimnas/var/squeezecenter/Logs/server.log
> --logdir=/mnt/CF2/slimnas/var/squeezecenter/Logs
> --cachedir=/mnt/CF2/slimnas/var/squeezecenter --daemon
> --pidfile=/mnt/CF2/slimnas/var/squeezecenter.pid
>
The outcome was the following:

I think the latest version of squeezecenter is missing the boot strap
