I am not talking about writing directly into the raw binary file which can be risky, but using the libraries of FLAC, which allow tagging through usage of the command line. This should be a safe way to tag the files. Additionnaly this could be activated by an option in the configuration of the plugin so that some users may choose not to write into the files. Also it is not necessary to have synchronous writing (ín the same time as the rating), tag writing could be done on-demand on the whole library. My main concern today is, when I rescan my library, will the ratings operated from the controller be reseted?
