One of the "features" that I've included in the beta & RC releases is that the prefs get automatically overwritten with defaults when one installs a newer version of the plugin. I know that this is annoying. But because I'm changing prefs names with almost every new version, this seems to be prudent, for now. Once I post the release version, and I'm confident that the prefs names are set for the foreseeable future, I'll remove that "feature."
The practical upside of this is that, yes, you may have selected the appropriate settings when you first installed the plugin, but, if you've upgraded it with a new version since then, your prefs would have been reset back to the defaults. This is one price that I'm asking all of you to pay for the privilege of kicking the tires on beta software. Believe me, I appreciate all the help and feedback you all have so generously given. And I'm sorry that this annoying feature is necessary for the beta releases.
