Thanks. I haven't tried installing/uninstalling plugins through this
new approach, but I have every expectation that it will work well,
according to other peoples experiences.

The selection grid works well, and it will help inexperienced users to
easily install plugins that are hosted in the SC repositry (when there
is one).

However, for developers, beta testers or people that have a lot of
plugins from a lot of authors, it seems that it may not be all that
useful at the moment, or will at least exhibit pain moving from old to
new mechanism for each plugin in turn.

What happens if SC is upgraded and an installed plugin version is no
longer considered suitable for SC? Does it automatically uninstall, or
just highlight it as incompatible?

With the download extension, it won't list the plugin if the plugin
version isn't compatible with SC? So I assume it could uninstall a
plugin, and not list it following an upgrade of SC. I'd get no
indication that it had done it?

At least if it was listed but as incompatible, I could download
manually and tweak the maxVersion element.

I'll post some enhancement requests.
