If anyone feels it is important that they are part of the the recommended list, patches are always welcome. Andy/Triode: If the plan is that most plugins should be available in the list by default I don't think these strict rules is going to work. If we really want to avoid that users have to enter repository urls manually it might be better to have two central plugin lists, for example "Recommended plugins" and "Other plugins" where a plugin can get on the "Other plugins" list as long as your plugin doesn't contain malicious code. The "Recommended plugins" list would only include plugins that fullfill the more strict rules, for example plugins that aren't a resource hog. I suspect it's going to work something like this when we get the real SqueezeWiki solution in the future, or do you plan to completely disallow plugins that use a bit more resources from SqueezeWiki ? If we don't want an "Other plugins" list there should at least be a link to the repository list page in the Extension Downloader web interface, this way people will at least find the repository urls to enter manually.
