If your SB connects wirelessly then AlienBBC default use of Flac may be stressing your connections.
Try disabling RTSP->Flac and RTSP->WAV (see Settings/Advanced/FileTypes) so that BBC audio will be transcoded to MP3. Make sure you have lame installed.
