A plugin can explore a different way for synchronising music, and if successful it could end up being part of core functionality.
Sync is a bad term - I get confused every time I try to sync two players together, and ultimately sync the wrong way causing me to play the wrong player content. The point of the plugin is to make things easier, not copy functionality that is already in the app. I quite like the idea of a Sync menu, with options within that to describe the direction of the the join. eg. Other Players > Sync > Join into > players A & B. One more key action perhaps, but it's quicker because I don't have to think for more than 5 secs what way the sync is going to occur, and how often does one sync anyway.
