Ardiran: what does your System event log show with SCPowerTool using
InitiateSystemShutdown? I tried using InitiateSystemShutdownEx with a
reason param of 0. This is what gets posted to the event log:

Is this similar to what you're seeing?
There doesn't seem to be a easy way to flag the reason as "planned"
without writing a custom code into the registry.
