OK, I've posted the new version of SCPowerTool at the head of this thread.
Adrian: thanks for that improvement. I've changed the link options so that msvcrt is no longer statically linked in. This reduces the exe file size, but users will need MSVCR80.dll ...which I think most users have on their system. You can test just by running SCPowerTool.exe with no parameters. If it displays its about box, then you're good.
