I communicated with bpa before on this topic on a forum I cannot find.
You suggested getting mplayer from SSODS which I did. However it has
not a file called mplayer but has mplayer-stdout-ds,
mplayer-stdout-ds-fp, mplayer-stdout-generic, mplayer-ts,
mplayer-ts-fp. I cannot figure which one to use or how to use it, what
directory should it be in etc.
I feel I'm close to getting AlienBBC running because when I access a
BBC live stream SqueezeCenter shows a link to a .ram file. On a Windows
machine I have running Alien BBC it shows a link to a .rpm file.
Maybe a little background on how Alien BBC works and how it relates to
mplayer might help me. Is there a link you can direct me to.

PS. Is there a possibility that a future release of SqueezeCenter might
support .ram streams directly?
