I believe my problem is related to the one all of you have been solving on this thread. My problem is that I can't play internet radio stations that are wma streams. I'm running squeeze center 7.3.2 on a debian etch system. Softsqueeze is being run from a windows xp machine on my network. I had posted my problem in a different thread (not realizing you were already discussing this issue) and forum member bpa most helpfully suggested I install mplayer and alienbbc to enable trancoding of the wma stream for softsqueeze. I have done this correctly I believe. It has eliminated getting error messages and it appears to be trying to play the stream but I don't get any sound.
I can tell from the discussion on this thread and the thread referenced by this thread that most of the posters here are more advanced than myself so I would like to beg your patience as I try to figure out how to troubleshoot this issue. I've attached a section of my server log that occured when softsqueeze was trying to connect to one of the troublesome wma formatted internet radio stations. If there are log settings that would help provide more useful information to solve this problem please let me know. I've also attached my custom-convert.conf and mplayer.sh files simply because they seemed to be important in your discussion. I down loaded the alternative mplayer.sh and custom-convert.conf files from this thread and tried them by simply replacing my files. This didn't seem to help but I figured it was worth a try. I'm pretty much stuck right now and not sure what to do so any help you can provide would be much appreciated. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: custom-convert.conf.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=7045| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- eschurig ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eschurig's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2175 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=58217 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
