You need to determine is the slowness in the server, the player or the network/network processing. Also is it related to network traffic/decode load due to using Flac.
When playing a stream WMA->Flac - Is menu traversing slow for all players or just Softsqueeze ? If just Softsqueeze, is menu traversing on a 2nd Softsqueeze (not playing) on another PC slow ? When playing a stream WMA->MP3 ( disable use of WMA->Flac and WMA->WAV) - is there any change to above behaviour ?
