It is intended for the original softsqueeze. If the workaround works then your problems are related to the bug I have found & fixed. It enables user to check the problem to see if it is worthwhile replacing Softsqueeze by my new version. Essentially the bug makes Softsqueeze incorrectly expect an MP3 stream when a transcoded Flac stream is being sent by SC.
